Seattle mastering • Independent & 5-star rated • Apple Digital Masters certified • Top 1% worldwide

Hi, I’m Alex, and I help artists put the final touches on their music.

I listen for what matters, make a small set of high-impact moves, then check the master across real-world playback so it holds up everywhere. Masters come back clear, punchy, and emotionally intact, with clean, properly labeled deliverables, quick communication, and straightforward revisions if anything needs a nudge. The goal is a calmer release day: one clear direction you can trust.

Based in Seattle, I master records for artists worldwide, from local studios to a new wave of indie singer-songwriters. With 1,800+ masters and 2 billion plays, my track record places me in the top 1% of mastering engineers worldwide.

Muso.AI counts reflect combined streams and video plays, excluding Apple Music.

At the bottom of each page, you’ll find playlists featuring artists I’ve mastered—a living snapshot of the work I’ve helped bring into the world.

My work is informed by The Wright Balance Method: an approach grounded in musicality, emotional clarity, and translation across playback systems. I maintain a hearing health reference for musicians committed to listening for a lifetime. I contribute articles to Tape Op, Sound On Sound, and more, exploring the craft and psychology of finishing music.

I’m grateful for the dozens of five-star reviews. Thank you for trusting me with your music. This work means a lot to me.

I’m fully independent: no agents, no assistants. Just me, focused on your record. I believe working directly with your mastering engineer is one of the best ways to carry your vision across the finish line. Going into release day, I keep things calm by delivering quickly, communicating clearly, and keeping the process drama-free.

If you’d like, send what you’ve made—I’d love to hear it, and help you finish it with care.

  • The final act of listening: a dialogue between your intent and the world that’s about to hear it.

I run Alexander Wright Mastering from Seattle and work with artists worldwide through an online process. Every master is handled personally by me, with a focus on clarity, depth, and emotional fidelity. I balance precision with restraint—preserving the mix’s intent while refining how it translates across systems. Whether your song began in a bedroom or a major studio, I’ll help it sound alive, balanced, and honest.
